EVOM™ Auto: How to Remove the Electrode Array

The EVOM™ Auto High Throughput (HTS) Transepithiel Electrical Resistance (TEER) Measurement System with 24 and 96 transwell capability has a removable electrode array head. Different electrode arrays can be used with the same system to analyze a variety of 24 and 96 transwell HTS plates.

The electrode array can be safely removed when:

• The system’s interface unit is powered OFF.
• The software is taken OFFLINE using the slider in the software.

Here we demonstrate removing the electrode array when the interface unit is powered off.  That’s why no light is seen on this 96-electrode array. 

1. Depress the button on the side of the electrode array. You will hear a click.
2. Hold the back of the unit with the left hand to keep the system steady while the electrode array is being removed.
3.  Next pull the electrode array straight out.
