EVOM™ Auto Title Screen

The EVOM™ Auto automates measurements of TEER in epithelial or endothelial monolayers cultured on high throughput screening 96-well plates utilizing our innovative EVOM™ technology, qualitatively measuring cell monolayer health and quantitatively measuring cell confluence by determining an increase or a plateau in tissue resistance.

The video below shows you how to chloride the electrode array on the EVOM™ Auto:

To chloride the electrode array, select Maintenance on the main menu.

Four control buttons are located at the bottom of this window:

  • Go Home- Positions the electrode array in the home position.
  • Calibrate- Calibrates the sensor head using the internal reference resistor.
  • Set/Read Time- Adjusts the time that the electrode array will enter a station to chlorodize or stabilize.
  • Back- Returns you to the previous window.

Press the + or - buttons to set the timer to the desired time in the Chloridize frame.

Next, Select the radio button for the rinse station containing the chloridizing solution and fill the appropriate rinse station with bleach solution.

Press that Start Timer button. The time interval displays on the counter in the center of the window. The title change to Chlording Time Remaining.

The Electrode Array moves to the selected rinse station, and the counters start counting down to zero.

When the count reaches zero, the Electrode Array retracts.

At any point, you may stop the counter by pressing the Stop Timer button. This resets the counter to zero and retracts the Electrode Array.
