Legacy versus New Generation Microinjectors

The compensation/HOLD pressure adjustment sensitivity was compared from the New Generation of injectors (PV850) to the legacy injectors (PV820). The settings of the NEW generation injector has been set to a precision of 0.01 PSI (0.069 kpa) per step when the adjusting is below 3.0 PSI (20.6 kpa) on the compensation setting.

In the PV820, we attempted to perform the minimum movement necessary to induce a pressure change. The result was a minimum change of around .18 PSI (1.24106kpa). The settling time was between 18 and 22 seconds.

Conclusion

The accuracy of the output pressure on the NEW Generation microinjectors presents an improvement on the resolution and should perform better than the legacy PicoPump microinjectors.
