To magnetize a tool — Insert tool into the "+" opening and slide back and forth. Continue this procedure until the desired level of magnetism is reached.

To demagnetize a tool — Insert tool at the lowest "-" opening. Slide back and forth. Continue the procedure, moving up to the next step until the tool is completely demagnetized.
