Ion Selective Electrodes
Our ion selective electrodes are highly stable, acÂcuÂrateÂly measuring calÂciÂum, poÂtasÂsiÂum, hydrogen and TPP ion activity. Tips consist of 2 mm diÂamÂeÂter plasÂtic tubes sealed at one end with an ion-senÂsiÂtive memÂbrane. After filling the ion selective electrodes with elecÂtroÂlyte soÂluÂtion, you can inÂsert the tube into the holdÂer and conÂnect it to a pH meter. Tips and holdÂers are inÂterÂchangeÂable, so one tip may be reÂplaced with anÂothÂer sensitive to a difÂferÂent ion. ReplacÂing a tip takes less than a minute. ElecÂtrode tips norÂmalÂly last sevÂerÂal months, when stored properÂly in saÂline soÂluÂtion. When reÂplaceÂment is necesÂsary, only the tip needs be reÂplaced.
Kwik-Tip electrodes are available separately and as kits. A separate refÂerÂence electrode, such as WPI’s Dri-Refâ„¢, is also required.
