Lister Bandage Scissors

Lister Bandage Scissors, also called Lister scissors or Lister dressing scissors, are a pair  of surgical scissors named after British surgeon Joseph Lister. They are designed for cutting and removing dressings, bandages, and medical materials without hurting the patient. Lister scissors have blunt and angled tips. The blunt tip prevents accidental injury or puncturing of the patient's skin while cutting close to the body. The angled design lets you easily insert the scissors under bandages. The angled blade also gives you better visibility and improved access to the dressing, especially in tight or confined spaces. The cutting blade is blunt. These surgical scissors are  primarily used for removing dressings, bandages, or gauze. This is common in wound care, postoperative care, and first aid. The Lister Bandage Scissors are available in a variety of sizes from 8.75 cm (3.5") to 15 cm (6"). They have a 4 cm cutting edge. They are made of surgical grade stainless steel or premium German steel, which is autoclavable. Be sure to clean your scissors thoroughly after each use. This helps them last longer.
