TIDAS-2
TIDAS 2

Operation and accessibility
Easy to use software allows spectrum observation and data analysis in a short period of time. Only a few parameters need be adjusted to obtain results quickly. The basic package provides a selection of measurement and analysis possibilities.
Some key features of Spectralys, the software package included with Tidas-2, are ease of use, extensive online help and macro programming. Further, it includes tools for sample qualification, quantification, validation and quality control.
Additional software modules (e.g., color analysis, multicomponent analysis, enzyme kinetics or chromatography) are also available, providing even greater functionality for more comprehensive measurements and analysis.
The sample chamber of the Tidas-2 diode array spectrometer is light and uncomplicated and accessible from above. A circular cuvette changer allows a quick and clearly arranged loading. The cuvette changer and the cuvette holder are quickly interchangeable.
Unlike other spectrometers, the separate positioning of the lamps in the Tidas-2 prevents the deuterium lamp from being penetrated by rays from the halogen lamp. The life span of the deuterium lamp is thus dramatically extended. Light penetrates the sample chamber through light conductors.
Both lamps, deuterium and halogen, are easily accessible from above and can be exchanged in less than three minutes. Complicated and time-consuming calibrations are not necessary.
External fiber optic connections allow easy integration of extensive accessories without complicated modifications.

More light through fitted optical construction
All components are made to match to one another and are “calculated” rather than “tried out”. Only in a Tidas-2 will you find parts such as an aperture adjuster and a multi-layer Zeiss light filter with maximum light-gain.
Detection tolerance is improved in comparison to conventional diode array spectrometers. As a result, minimal concentrations can be measured with extreme precision. On the other hand, measurements can be obtained in high concentrations and thick solutions such as cell suspensions, guaranteed by the high light gain of the system. You don't have to suffer the usual compromises in measurement speed anymore. Fast high precision spectrum measurements save you time and costs. You can rely on the measurement results without time-consuming re-checking. Stability from year to year provides you with values, which can be compared against each other over long terms. Trends in measured values can be attributed exclusively to the measured samples without considering variations in the spectrometer itself.

Optimized light conductors
Test tubes and other types of measurement arrangements can be used without guiding losses in the external light conductors. This is made possible by the ceramic Zeiss diode array module and a unique multiplexing technique, both of which are to be found only in the Tidas II. Most cuvette-based standard spectrometers lose more than 90% of light through expensive, complicated and inefficient (or even non-functioning) prism de-coupling. An external fiber optic connection, free of light losses, is incorporated in all versions of Tidas II.
The possibility of coupling external sample cells with optical fibers to the Tidas II opens nearly unlimited possibilities of many types of test tubes and measurement arrangements, such as our MicroVette, DipTip, SpectroPipetter or LWCC.

Unmatchable measurement speed
The use of RISC processor technology allows fast parallel data acquisition and processing. This enables online spectrum analysis and kinetics at high sampling rates without occupying processor time.
