| This handy base provides a simple alternative to to the heavy steel baseplate required for magnetic stands. Weighing only about 1 kilogram, it has two M8-threaded holes to accomodate threaded support rods. The threaded holes are identical to those on most of our magnetic bases (M1, M1L, M9, M10, M10L, and M11), so their rods may be transferred to this base. With its own weight and broad footprint, the base can support a medium weight micromanipulator. Just add more weight on top of the base for mounting heavier equipment. If more than two rods are needed, the base has two additional clamping holes for rods up to 12.7mm in diameter.
