Iso-DAM8A is a compact eight-channel rack-mountable amplifier system. Each channel is electrically isolated from the others and from ground. No current can flow from input terminals and electrodes. Thus, the instrument is intrinsically safe and cannot cause any electrical stimulus or shock to the preparation. Noise often resulting from ground loops is very miniumal. All channels have rear output coaxial connectors as well as a 25-pin cable for connection to data acquisition systems. Systems can be purchased with one, two, three - up to eight preamplifier modules or with bridge - 8 modules.

A remote 10x gain headstage preamplifier allows low noise extracellular (AC) recording with Iso-DAM8A multichannel bioamplifiers. It is optimal for use with our metal microelectrodes and the 5-foot-long probe cable plugs directly into the front of any Iso-DAM8A channel.The user can then select an appropriate low frequency (AC) filter setting on the channel amplifier panel.
