Spectroscopy

WPI offers modular fiber optic spectroscopy component for UV/VIS/NIR absorbance and fluorescence applications.
DNA/RNA Quantification with:
 • 2mm cuvette
 • DipTipMini
 • SPT-2

Cuvettes & Holders

Fiber optic cuvette holders and quartz cuvettes for spectrophotometry and fluorometry.
• Adjustable cuvette holder (2–100mm), ABS/FL cuvette holder, fiber optic holders for glass fiber filters (GFF)
• Standard rectangular, semi-micro, continuous flow, micro, fluorescence and cylindrical cuvettes
Choosing a Cuvette: Optical Glass or Quartz

Detectors

Fiber Optic Detectors for Absorbance, Fluorescence, Transmittance and Reflectance spectroscopy. LEDSpec is a stand alone LED-based bio-photometric detection system targeted at flow analysis and single-scan applications. Tidas I is a photodiode array based spectrometer for low noise and drift. SpectraUSB series are miniature CCD array spectrometer modules for generic UV/VIS spectroscopy.

Detection Systems

WPI's modular spectroscopy components can be assembled into a large variety of sampling systems. Some applications include:
• DNA/RNA/Protein analysis
• Oceanographic nutrient analysis
• Ocean color research
• Process control
• Pharmaceutical research

Dipping Probes

Fiber optic dipping probes for UV/VIS/NIR spectroscopic analysis. Easy, quick and accurate spectroscopic sampling of microliter volumes.

Flow Cells

Fiber optic flow cells for UV/VIS/NIR spectroscopy. WPI's Liquid Waveguide Capillary Cell technology allows path lengths between 2 and 500 cm and at volumes of 5 to 1500 microliter. Applications include fluid injection analysis, HPLC and process control. For more information or help choosing an appropriate flow cell, see the LWCC Details page.

Light Sources

Fiber optic light sources for UV, VIS and NIR absorbance, fluorescence and reflectance applications. These deuterium, tungsten and LED based light sources are optimized for low noise and low drift.

Optical Fibers

Fused silica fibers with core diameters from 50 to 1000 micrometers. Solarization resistant fibers are available for deep UV applications. Bifurcated fiber optic assemblies can be used to split or combine similar light intensities. Polymer based fibers are available as a highly flexible, stable and inexpensive alternative.

Spectroscopy Accessories

Fiber Optic Inline Filter holders for interference filters, SMA bulkhead fittings, SMA and ST collimators, Fiber Optic Adapter for Thermo's UV1000 and UV2000 HPLC detectors, Sampling accessories for LWCCs, Dipping Probes, etc.

Specialty Systems

Highly sensitive, benchtop systems for Electron Spin Resonance/Electron Paramagnetic Resonance and Surface Plasmon Resonance can be found here.
