The BAM21 Bridge Amplifi er is used in conjunction with the Muscle Bath system and the related line of SI-Heidelberg muscle physiology products. The amplifier is used to determine and reproduce the force applied to the tested tissue samples. The force feedback signal can be multiplied by a factor of 10 to provide better resolution from a minimal change in applied force. The BAM21 includes a temperature control for the muscle bath. Temperature stabilization is provided by a PID (proportionalintegral-derivative) controller, a control loop feedback mechanism.
