Intracellular
Intracellular amplifiers are sometimes referred to as electrometers.
They are used to measure potentials within the cytoplasm of a cell.
They are typically low gain, very high input impedance amplifiers that
incorporate special features to facilitate the unique requirements of
intracellular recording.
